1. Who we are
EcoTap is a product of TopDev Australia, which is a trading name of HomeSwim Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 66 640 753 877) — an Australian company, and the party you are contracting with. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. You can reach us at mehdi@topdev.com.au.
2. Your account
You need an account to create a card. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anyone with them can change what your card shares. We support two-factor authentication and recommend turning it on.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the details you publish must be yours to publish.
3. Your card is public by design
A card exists to be handed to people. Once published, anyone with the link or your tag can open it — there is no login, and search engines may index it. Only publish what you are content for a stranger to see.
What appears on the page and what travels in the saved contact file are different, and deliberately so. The page shows your name, title, organisation, city, bio and links. The contact file a visitor chooses to download also carries your phone numbers and email addresses, and your street address only if you have switched that on. We never sell this, and there is no tracking on the links your card offers.
4. Card links are permanent, and never reissued
Your card has a link like ecotap.io/c/your-name. It cannot be changed after publishing, because printed cards and tags already point at it.
If you delete a card, or a business removes you from its team, the link stops working immediately and stays reserved forever. We will not issue it to anyone else. This is on purpose: someone holding your old card must never be redirected to a different person.
5. Plans and what you pay
Individuals
A free account gives you one card, shared by QR or link, with your initials on it. Premium at A$9.99 a month adds unlimited cards, your own photo, and access to the physical NFC card.
Businesses
Business accounts are A$9.99 per member per month. Billing counts the people who actually joined. Inviting someone costs nothing — you pay from the moment they accept and become active, not when the invitation is sent. There is no minimum, no seat bundle, and no step where you buy seats in advance; the seat number you choose during setup is a planning figure, not a purchase.
When your team grows or shrinks, your subscription follows. Removing someone frees their seat straight away and Stripe credits the unused part of that month. Additions are reconciled promptly and, where there is any lag, it is in your favour.
If a subscription lapses
Cards keep working — the paid look does not.Every card you have published keeps resolving: the link, the QR code and any NFC tag keep opening it, and people can still save your details. What a paid plan adds to a card’s appearance — your photo, a company name, a business’s logo and branding — comes off while the plan is unpaid, and the card shows in its free-tier form. Nothing is deleted; subscribing again restores the full appearance immediately.
Physical tags
Tags are one-off purchases: sticker tag A$19, keyring A$29, card A$29.99. All prices include GST. Postage, where charged, is shown at checkout.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Your receipt is issued by TopDev, HomeSwim Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 66 640 753 877). If you need a tax invoice for an amount we have not sent one for, write to us and we will issue it.
6. Tags are written and locked by us
We write and lock every tag before it ships. It cannot be re-encoded — not by you, not by anyone who picks it up. That is what stops a lost tag being turned into a link to somewhere else.
A tag points at your card, not at fixed details, so changing jobs does not mean replacing your tag. Locking prevents rewriting; it does not prevent someone copying the link itself, and we do not claim otherwise.
Tapping a tag with a phone depends on that phone’s hardware and settings. Every card also works by QR code and by link, which is how we expect most people to share.
7. Cancelling, and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Delete a card whenever you like — remember the link retires permanently.
When a paid period ends, your published cards stay live and keep working, but any paid appearance — a photo, a company name, business branding — reverts to the free-tier look until you subscribe again. Cancelling changes how a card looks, never whether it works, and deletes nothing.
Physical tags can be returned unused within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Tags are personalised to your card, so we cannot resell a used one.
None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, and those guarantees cannot be excluded.
8. Business-owned cards
When a business issues you a card, the business owns it. It can decide what you may change about it, and it can remove your access — which takes the card offline immediately and retires its link. If that happens you keep your EcoTap account and can create a personal card of your own.
If instead the business’s own subscription lapses, your card is not removed: it stays live at the same link and keeps working, but shows without the business’s name, logo and branding until the business subscribes again.
9. What we ask of you
Do not impersonate someone else, publish another person’s details without their agreement, or use EcoTap to send anyone unsolicited messages. We may suspend a card that does — normally after telling you why, and immediately where the law or someone’s safety requires it.
10. Availability
We work to keep cards resolving at all times, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or retire features. Where a change materially affects what you have paid for, we will tell you first.
11. Changes to these terms
The product is developing quickly and these terms will be revised as it does. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard before they take effect, and the date at the top always says when this version was published.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
